Mr. PK Chandrasekaran Chetty received the prestigious recognition award from the Tamil Nadu Governor Honourable Banwarilal Purohit as one of the reputed & oldest steel trading houses in Chennai, India.
M/S PK Vaduvammal, which was estd in 1938, and now the company was moving on within the hand's 4th generation with more positive & sustainable business plans and most important with the blessings from our founder grandparents & parents.

We had expanded our operations to Madras, shipping steel and related products via rail from Jamshedpur, known as India's "Steel City," where the first TATA steel plant was located.
P.K. Chandrasekaran Chettiar, son of Shri. Ezhumalai Chettiar, joined the business after graduating from Madras University. He spearheaded geographical expansion within southern India.
Shyamsunder Chetty, son of P.K. Chandrasekaran Chettiar, had joined the firm, leading to exponential growth. We diversified our offerings into Scrap Metal Recycling, Aluminium Alloys, Silicon Metal, Bituminous products, and Building Material Solutions, creating a global network based on trust.
Mohana Shyamsunder, wife of Shyamsunder Chetty, became a full-time partner, overseeing monitoring, costing, accounts, and administrative functions.
This year we marked a significant milestone as we achieved fifty crore revenue in INR.

We served as JSW Steel Ltd.'s Liaison and Project Sales Agent, handling major accounts nationwide.
Our CEO traveled to Iran to finalize a long-term contract for Bitumen supply with India's largest Bitumen supplier.
Leveraging our continuous research in the petrochemical sector and expertise in Bitumen trading, we established the first-of-its-kind bitumen smelting processing plant in Manali, Chennai.
We established a commodity trading office in Singapore to trade recycled ferrous and nonferrous products globally, aligning with the urgent need for decarbonization and green steel initiatives.
Ashwath Shyam, representing the fourth generation, joined our firm after completing his undergraduate studies in economics at Loyal College and obtaining a master's in business from the University of Birmingham, U.K.

We ventured into China to explore opportunities in Silicon Metal, expanding our reach and product portfolio.
Faced with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, we adapted and persevered, continuing to serve our clients and navigate the changing landscape.
Our revenue crossed 175 crores in INR (21 USD million), marking a significant milestone in our financial growth and stability.
We diversified our business by launching Building Material Solution services, adding value to our offerings and meeting diverse client needs.
Reflecting our ongoing growth, we relocated to a new office space in Anna Salai CBD, symbolizing our commitment to excellence and expansion in the industry.
